Hyborian Picts and Skraelings

Things have been a bit quiet on both the wargaming front and blogging front recently. Real life getting in the way...and it's likely to be the same for the next couple of months. Any gaming has been mainly of the short and sweet variety...lots of Odin's Ravens and Magic the Gathering with the kids.

Today, though, I got my latest batch of figs from the inimitable Matt Slade of Glenbrook Games! This time a mix of Lucid Eye Cro-Magnons and the Frostgrave Witch and Apprentice that I intend to use as Skraelings for Blood Eagle and Hyborian Picts for Open Combat with the Witch and Apprentice as Shaman types. They will also fit quite nicely into my The Northern Tribes (here and here) warband for Dragon Rampant as well as Frostgrave.

Lucid Eye just posted on their Facebook page that the Lucid Eye Savage Core range...some of my favourite figures...will be available direct from Warlord Games. There will also be new Savage Core releases in 2016 along with, it seems, a set of rules!

News From The Future!

The Lucid Eye Savage Core range will shortly be available direct from Warlord Games!

Over the next few months, the Savage Core range will be available from the Warlord website, watch for further news. This will not supplant Arcane Scenery's sterling efforts in that direction, who will continue to stock the Lucid Eye ranges.

2016 promises to be a busy year for The Eye, as the Lucidea range comes to fruition, with further releases for Savage Core, and perhaps some further news of the Lucid Eye games system. What excitement! Hoo!

Meanwhile, all you supportive guys can bask in the seasonal light of good vibes emanating from the glowing, all seeing, mystical Eye of Lucidea.

Lucid Eye Second Amazon Warriors Pack Out Now!

At long last, the second Amazon Warriors pack from Lucid Eye's Savage Core range is now available here!

Lucid Eye have posted a pic on their Facebook page of their forthcoming and long-awaited (by me, at least) second pack of Amazon Warriors for their Savage Core range. Just brilliant! No date as yet but it can't be too long now. Can't wait!

I also noticed that they have posted a pic of a couple of new characters...Earthman Urban and Zal of The Ultrateens...for their Lucidea range. 

They look great and I can see them fitting in to Pulp or VSF games pretty easily. Think I might be picking these chaps up, too!

Ua'Vathar, Lord of the Sunken City from Lucid Eye

I've just noticed that Lucid Eye have released another figure in their Savage Core range; Ua'Vathar, Lord of the Sunken City.

I'm not sure about this one...I think I'll hold off and see if he gets any companion figures, though I think I may end up giving him a miss and getting Antediluvian Miniatures' upcoming Warriors of Atlantis, instead.

Lucid Eye have just released some new figures under the title Mercenaries...Hoplite Commander, Hoplites, Javelin Men and Peltasts. I'm not sure if these are part of the Savage Core range but they would work well with the Atlanteans as well as for 7th Voyage or historical games.
