The Skinwalker Tribes for Dracula's America

Just a quick post as I managed to get around to digging out my Dead Man's Hand figs so I could add them to my North Star figs and so take a pic of my Skinwalker Tribe posse for Dracula's America! Not the best pic and apologies once again for the lack of scenery.

The Dark Confederacy for Dracula's America

It's been quite a while since I last posted. Sorry. Been busy settling in to the new house...not helped by various issues with our broadband as well as my laptop choosing this moment to die. Needless to say, there has been no wargaming...it's all still in boxes and is likely to remain so while we get some much needed jobs done on the new house. Sigh.

I did, however, get my latest lot of figs back from Matt a week or two ago and I finally got around to taking a few quick pics. Sorry for the lack of scenery.

These are some Dark Confederacy figs for Dracula's America. Matt has done a fantastic job as always. Really pleased with them!

He also did some figs for The Skinwalker Tribes...

These will go with the Dead Man's Hand Renegade Indians I already have...enough to make up a posse. I'll get around to digging them out of a box at some point and taking some pics of them all together.

That said, I've decided I don't much like the Wolf...his front paw seems unnaturally posed (I've checked out pics of other people's and it is the same on every model) so I shall be looking for another large wolf...any suggestions very welcome!

Matt will also be doing some Red Hand Coven and Crossroads Cult figs for me over the next few months along with assorted other Wild West figs to go with all the Dead Man's Hand ones I already have (check out the Dead Man's Hand label on the right if you want to see them in action).

I might even manage to get a game in at some point...

Dracula's America: Shadows of the West...Nickstarter Live!

North Star's Dracula's America: Shadows of the West Nickstarter officially goes live on Monday but for those of us who have joined the Dracula's America: Shadows of the West Player's Page on Facebook the page is already live!! If you can't wait, just head on over to the Facebook page here and join up!

There are early bird deals until Wednesday when prices will go up...and there is lots to choose from. If you want all of it then the early bird price is £118 for the lot! Otherwise a book and posse combo will set you back anything from £31.90 to £48.60 depending on the posse and the figures included.

You can also buy all of the figures individually including many from the Artizan Wild West range as well as assorted other figures from a few other ranges...most of which are not normally available individually.

You can apparently play the game as straight Wild West or include the Weird West elements from the book. The posses (each made up of around 10 figs) are Twilight Order (Templars/Monster Hunters), Red Hand Coven (Vampires), Skinwalkers (Indian Shapeshifters), Crossroads Cult (Demon Worshippers), Congregation (Voodoo) and Dark Confederate (Zombie). There is also a further book in the works, Hunting Grounds (due out in Jan 2018), which adds The Forsaken (Cursed 7th Cavalry) and White Dragon Tong.

Already having quite a few Wild West figs, I've jumped on board for the book and some of the more Weird West figs. Really looking forward to this!

Dracula's America: Shadows of the West

I'm afraid this blog has been a bit quiet over the last couple of weeks...indeed, the last few months, really...with 'real life' getting in the way. Posting will probably remain a bit patchy as we get ready for yet another house move (the last one...ever, if I have anything to do with it!) in August. Hopefully things will get back to normal come September.

Of course, none of this has stopped me getting all excited about various upcoming games. I already picked up Mad Dogs with Guns  and a load of Copplestone Gangsters will be heading off to Matt's painting table next week. I've also been getting all enthused about Campaign Sea Lion for Bolt Action...though I have so far managed to stop myself from buying a load of those lovely Footsore and Warlord figs. Not sure how much longer I can restrain myself, though...especially as they just released these beauties...

...which will work brilliantly for Pulp games, too. In fact, I can feel my wallet opening as I type this!

And then there is Dracula's America: Shadows of the West! Due out in August this set of rules does the Weird West...though I have heard it can be played straight Wild West, too, and anything in between. I already have a lovely bunch of Artizan Wild West figs but North Star will once again be producing a range of figs specifically for the game. There have been a few sneak peeks on the Facebook page (here)...

...and they are just superb! I don't think I will be able to resist these, either! And there is already a supplement in the works which is due out in January 2018...Dracula's America: Shadows of the West: Hunting Grounds.

So many cool toys and just not enough time or money!
