In Her Majesty's Name Company - The Black Widow Gang

There are many criminal gangs who work the the London docks but even amongst those hardened and violent criminals the name of The Black Widow Gang causes fear!

The Black Widow herself runs the day-to-day criminal activities of the gang. As tough as she is fearless, she is, nevertheless, always accompanied by the Ripper, so named because of his skill and ferocity with a knife.

It is, however, the Ju-Ju King who gives the gang its fearsome reputation! Steeped in the darkest tribal magics from West Africa, he consorts with ghostly apparitions and is even able to raise the dead and make them do his bidding!

Of London's many criminal gangs, only the Purple Lotus Tong seem prepared to stand up to the terrifying Black Widow Gang!

Creatures of the Night!

I got my latest lot of figs back from Matt of Glenbrook Games today. This time some figures for In Her Majesty's Name and the latest supplement...Gothic!

These are all North Star or Artizan figs. Matt has, as always, done a superb job on them. I look forward to putting a company together using the new Gothic supplement as soon as the kids are back at school!

My copy of Gothic, the new supplement for In Her Majesty's Name, arrived today! I've had a quick flick-through and..as is to be expected from The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare...this is a high quality softcover book chock-full of new equipment, talents, mystical powers and companies. I'm looking forward to giving it a proper read tonight...but I'm already itching to put some Companies together!

The move is almost upon us. My days are full of boxes, runs to the dump or charity shop, phone calls to utilities, changes of address and all the other many things that need to be done. So this will be my last post for a week or two...partly because, as well as having to unpack at the new house, I'm sure I will have the usual hassle setting up internet access. Joy.

Anyway, this month Matt sent me...along with my Temple of Set figs (in the previous post)....the most recent Lost World adventurers from Antediluvian Miniatures. Lovely figs that will fit very well in my In Her Majesty's Name Lost World.

Badlands Bluff - Battlefield in a Box

The Battlefield in a Box Gothic range is impossible to get hold of these days but the Badlands range has always been even rarer. Not only are they perfect for Wild West games but they'd look pretty good in the Lost World and on Mars, too! I've been on the look-out for anything from the range for a long time but to no avail. So when I got an eBay alert that something was available I assumed it would be outrageously priced but I was in luck....they had the Badlands Bluff and not only was it on Buy-it-Now at retail price but they had a couple for sale! Blimey! I didn't hesitate in picking them up straight away.

These will do very nicely for our planned In Her Majesty's Name Mars campaign later on in the year...

The figures are from Ironclad Miniatures and make up our Jah Mors, Prince of Mars In Her Majesty's Name Company, painted for us, as always, by the inimitable Matt Slade of Glenbrook Games.
